This is a smash and grab operation, told with telling humour and constant risk. Go to Full Review

Legends feels unambitious. Yet, at the same time, all the components are solid. A good cast playing believable characters, dealing with a script that only occasionally tips into contrivance. Go to Full Review
Tim Glanfield The Times (UK) 6d
4/5
This is glossy, big-budget drama filled with adrenaline — and a mighty fine early Nineties soundtrack — but it’s not without moments of comic relief, giving it a British feel that will undoubtedly please fans of Forsyth’s previous work on the BBC. Go to Full Review
Alison Rowat The Herald (Scotland) 22h
A cracking cast has turned out for Forsyth, including Tom Burke (Strike) and Hayley Squires (The Night Manager). It takes a while to settle into the right space between edgy comedy and thriller. Go to Full Review

Legends has that rare thing that made The Wire remarkable: it seems to tell the story not just of a few cops and robbers, but of a whole city. Go to Full Review

Legends is a genuinely excellent crime drama that pulls the viewer in almost as far as it pulls Guy into his assumed identity -- which is to say, further than is probably comfortable, and further than you’ll be able to resist. Go to Full Review

Andrei D @RT74856639 20h The first two episodes are rather slow and the plot is a little too standard, but it delivers some solid cop, well customs, drama moments and the acting is top notch See more ultra B @ultraboom 1d The first episode started with good jokes, but there weren’t many afterward. Great plot. See more Lou H @Psyclick 1d This series is now the best TV drama series I've ever watched. Everything was outstanding, especially the cast with not a single weak performance. I wouldn't be surprised if it cleans up during awards season! See more Darren D @CoolDougster 3d Decent watch, however, some of the (made up) members of the 'Legends' are pointless additions who add little to the plot and there are a few laughably unbelievable scenes towards the end. Oh, and some of the music is from the wrong time period(The first few minutes features a song from 1993, even though '1990' flashes up on screen!) See more Manan J @RT64452712 3d Just when you think you’ve figured it out… Legends changes the game again. This series doesn’t follow predictable storytelling—it completely plays with your expectations. Every episode feels like it’s setting up one thing, only to flip the entire situation in the smartest way possible. What really makes Legends stand out is the casting. Every actor fits their role so naturally that the characters feel lived-in rather than written. The chemistry, the tension, the shifting loyalties—it all works because the performances actually sell the unpredictability. The pacing stays sharp, the twists feel earned, and unlike many modern thrillers, this series doesn’t rely on shock value alone. It keeps you hooked because the writing is genuinely smart. It’s not flawless. A few moments feel slightly overcomplicated, but the series recovers quickly every time. Final Verdict: Unpredictable, addictive, and backed by casting that absolutely delivers. Cinema wins. Mediocrity loses. See more Carla S. @Festguru 3d Tense, well acted drama. I did find it a bit hard to believe that they put civilians in such dangerous situations though. But I'm still watching it... See more Read all reviews
