Saphire V @RT54014219 1h As a child of the late 80’s, I spent my teenage years religiously playing the DmC games. However, I truly enjoy getting to watch a different take on the series while still evoking elements that made Devil May Cry so iconic and special. Season 2 is an action packed rollercoaster ride, the soundtrack and editing is absolutely peak, and getting to see backstory that was previously only eluded to in the games is fantastic. We get to see a much more emotionally vulnerable Dante due to his confrontational relationship with his twin, and he has some great moments throughout season 2. However, in my opinion it’s Vergil that steals the show in any scene - his presence and characterization grabs your attention every time - like the needle drop when "Bodies" starts to play! Even with the high octane action, there are some deeply emotional moments that hit hard and stay with you. Can’t wait to see what season 3 will have in store! See more Long T @RT71941332 8h Did the director of this movie even play the DMC franchise? Where are Vergil's thousands cut? Where is the dancing move from Dante? Dante in the game was a charming guy, always flirting but never falling in love with anybody. And how come Vergil is more skillful in using guns than Dante, while Dante consistently gets beaten up? Also, with the movie's politics criticizing the American Government, it took almost the whole show talking about how badly the Gov treats people. So the demons that look like humans are good, and demons that have weird physics are bad. LMAO. After watching this show, I got to go apologize to the DMC Devil May Cry reboot game. They even changed Dante looks to corporate slop Dante. Apparently Dante is the weakest in his own universe. Also AI writing would probably be better than this trash. Writing anything further without spoiling is impossible, however if you are a fan of the games it is impossible to find any value in the show, especially with how hollow all of the references are (to other media as well as DMC games). It is more like Adi Shankar skimmed through the wiki for plot points instead of adapting anything people actually wanted to see. Yes, they experienced a tragedy but they deat with it, and Vergil definitely did not despite his mother like that. And honestly the Date I know from the game would probably beat up those Darkcom troops the moment he is unfrozed, wtf would he work with them. And what's the point of having an Indian professor and a girl when those two serve 0 purpose in the story, well maybe the girl does but the professor definitely not. The good thing is that every character has their motivation so at some point it felt legit for them to fight. See more Felipe D @RT31651142 16h Sou um grande fã da franquia Devil may cry desde os jogos e adorei tanto a segunda como a primeira temporada também, mas algo que vejo bastante na comunidade da série é que muitas pessoas gostam de encher o saco dos produtores da série para fazerem algo canônico ao jogo aí pela série não seguir os padrões dos games muitos fãs acham ruim e reclamam mas algo que todo mundo deve entender é que a série não é pra ser uma réplica do jogo só que em série e sim uma história própria mas feita pelos desenvolvedores do jeito deles e seguindo as vezes o que a comunidade pede, mas como sou um fã da série e da franquia eu não vejo nenhum problema nisso já que os produtores entregaram um excelente resultado tanto na primeira e como na segunda que eu confesso que nessa segunda temporada o desenvolvimento superou demais minhas expectativas tanto o desenvolvimento dos personagens e também na trama da série então para mim a série está um prato cheio e bem completo mesmo, ficou simplesmente incrível 👏🏼.
