In a stunning dual role, international star Jet Li portrays Gabriel Yulaw, a police officer confronted with a sinister form of himself escaped from an advanced, parallel universe and intent on killing Gabriel. For a 2001 sci/fi flick the graphics and CGI are pretty impressive. It has an impressive cast that holds the movie together. I was completely unaware that Jason Statham was in this movie until I saw him within the first 10 minutes. Yes, Jet Li is hard to understand at times, but you're not watching to hear dialog, you're watching to see the martial art scenes. If you catch this on a streaming service, give it a watch. It's entertaining and the Metal sound track is an interesting twist on movies of this type.

The One is a great movie, I don't care what the critics say. The martial arts in it are superb and really the movie is just a vehicle for that.
