Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings -- until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.

Gabriel Basso’s action thriller isn’t a hit by accident. And in Season 3, it’s firing on all cylinders. That's a star right there. Go to Full Review

Buoyed by the best ensemble of new supporting players for the show to date, the third season of ‘The Night Agent' is arguably the best. Go to Full Review

The Night Agent is still perfectly good “watch while doing laundry” TV, but it feels like the third season is even more lunkheaded than the first two, and the absence of Buchanan is huge. Go to Full Review

While Netflix renewed The Night Agent for a third season before the second debuted, I am convinced the reception for this new batch of episodes will secure a fourth season for Peter Sutherland and the Night Action team. Go to Full Review

In Season 3, the storyline takes a U-turn, abandoning the high-stakes story of a compromised president and effectively neutering the show. Go to Full Review

I K @Ikara 17h After Season 2 and the annoying girlfriend / Rose who was in far too many episodes and had no reason to be there, I decided to stop watching the show. When I read Rose wasn't returning I gave Season 3 a try, and am glad I did. The characters were interesting, well acted, and the writing far better. Season 1 hooked me, Season 2 was a huge disappointment, and after this past one I hope there's a season 4. See more Carolyn W @NanciDrew 18h A big improvement over season 2—a winner. Strong characters. Well-acted. The show featured more depth in Peter's character and problem-solving. Overall, the story themes were more complex. Peter's character demonstrates sensitivity and compassion. He still struggles with unresolved issues from his past. Hope he gains more insight and self-foregiveness, and learns the past shouldn't lock him in the present. If the Rose story hadn't mostly concluded, we would have given up on the show. Her character dominated S2. There are some similarities between Rose and Isabel, including physical appearance and personality. Hope Peter and Rose will resolve their past and present. Needed closed caption to understand Isabel, because she speaks through her teeth and clenched jaw. Fola Akingbola, as Chelsea. is wonderful. Hope she has a recurring role in ongoing seasons. Thinking about "The Son" character and the potential for a lot of psychopathology. Hope this story aspect isn't developed. See more Deborah C. @decent 21h Was very entertaining, got lost in the characters, gets better each season, waiting for the next. See more Phil H @PoWrHouse 1d This season was a binger with multiple scenes of the lead actors lives always hanging by a thread. In the first few episodes the play developed slowly, but their was a very intriguing love story developing in Mexico along with a Cartel family investigation. The last four episodes will fly by because you won’t stop until you find out the outcome of multiple storylines including a challenged POTUS, Terrorists, a young beautiful LatinAmerican investigative reporter, a very talented beautiful African American Secret Service agent assigned to FLOTUS, a cold blooded hit man, a new night agent called in to assist Sutherland…excellent performances by all the really talented character actors…the action, constantly moving, the cinematography and special effects…superb!! By the end you just want more, more, more of The Night Agent and Peter Sutherland. Also a shout out to Genesis Rodriguez in her fantastic performance!! See more Markus W @thx1989 1d The Night Agent Season three is an exciting, edge-of-your-seat conspiracy action thriller with surprisingly effective personal and human storylines woven into the plot. This makes it my favorite season so far, hands down. I can't wait for another round! See more Zane T @ZaneThind 1d Perhaps it's best season yet. This season definitely feels like a political thriller but a very entertaining one. Mixed with action and good storytelling dropped on the background of past lives, politics, ethics, power, spies, and the truth. This season is also more journalism focused. I do wish we got more backstory on Peter when he was younger though. I thought from the first episode that's what we were going to get but nonetheless, the series flourished.
