sofia f @RT60967591 04/18/2025 For starters, As for someone who has never been to New York, the film makes it seem Huge. I come from a small island in Europe and I’ve been to some great cities in Europe such as London, Paris or Amsterdam. But they make New York seem too Big and too scary. I don’t know if it’s The whole 2 day time lapse for the whole tape or the footage of New York itself. Passing on, what makes me rate 4 stars is the South korean karaoke scene, I also loved discovering that koreans found out their Jobs as babies (or so the film makes it seem) as something I have never imagined before as an european. The whole “destiny thing” as the main theme, where everything is working against them… that’s “well put” for a romance but of course realistically speaking, it would be very hard for them to reconnect and randomly meet in the cafe all of those years later. I gave it a “7” on IMDB because it has some interesting quotes and details to it. I also liked the fact that we get to know the characters deeply and their culture and even though they make it about New York, the America films/biased plot of New York that we are used to isn’t there. Shallow plot line, no character depth or development, so sugar coated. I understand you can't fit a novel into a movie but it would've been nice if they incorporated at least SOME of it in there. See more 06/22/2021 The concept of the plot is one I wouldn't take seriously considering the love dynamic between Daniel & Natasha takes the span of 2 days, it's a very intriguing one filled with good, cheerful spots and dramatic moments that add tension into the story. Me being a realist, it's certainly a cheesy romance flick that is best suited for movies and would never work in real life but the plot is done relatively well that It's an easy recommendation to hopeless romantics wanting to believe the dream.
