Midway into the series, I found myself thinking, Why are we here? To watch weary strife and “mild situations,” as the content warnings caution us, dutifully executed? Go to Full Review

Its insistence on seeing the birth of a nation as a dangerous endeavor requiring persistent, even arduous, generosity proves enchanting. Go to Full Review

The familiar title of Little House on the Prairie may bring lots of viewers to this new version, but I can't say it really resonates, except for the performances of Halsey as Laura and Christie as Edwards. Go to Full Review

Sentimental yet spirited, showrunner Rebecca Sonneshine's re-imagining of Laura Ingalls Wilder's timeless tale has more historical accuracy and is splendidly cast by Rachel Tenner & Rick Messina. Go to Full Review

Accurate retelling or not, it is thoroughly engrossing and includes perspectives that were missing from the original Michael Landon series. Go to Full Review

Erica E @RT91207048 1d It’s a fun & nostalgic retake on a series I grew up watching as a kid. I can’t remember the serious topics as I was so young, but boy is the mother in this series frustrating. She’s very literally the causes of her own problems at every turn. She just has to learn everything the hard way. See more Loraine E @Lora98765 2d I like this although some people are complaining. You can’t watch it comparing it to the original. It is its own show and isn’t supposed to be a remake of the original. See more Heya S @WingedWords 2d This show does an excellent job at what it’s intending to do. Serve as "family" entertainment laced with parables. Our screens are filled with flashy, high-intensity, overstimulating content for kids that serves only to sell products and shorten attention spans. Little House is the opposite. Slow and restrained with pastoral imagery, soft music, and measured speech. Think Dr Quinn or Road to Avonlea, 2026 version. It’s not meant to be a historical reenactment or high stakes drama for adults. It uses the foundation of the children’s stories to build something new. The update to include Indigenous and African American stories is important for a generation that values multiperspective history, even if the inclusion isn’t perfect. None of it is perfect because this is TV after all. But they’re trying which is a lot better than many shows that came before. My kids love it, and it serves as a starting point for discussion about big moral and ethical questions. See more Jay D @Jaydegnl 3d If you call this historical correct you are colourblind. The graphics are terrible. Why don't theybuse any real wolves or wolf dogs lile tamascans? It looks cheap. Beautiful scenery though. See more R T @RT47849132 4d Hate is an understatement See more Per S @RT83737705 5d At least the wardrobe collection is impressive, and clean. So much for realism and a credible cast. Recommend the books or rewatching the old series. See more Read all reviews
