Brianna G @briZen 3h I really enjoyed this film. I thought the leads were fresh and had good chemistry. I loved the small but significant role of Nick Offerman in this, I almost didn’t recognize him lol. But the storyline was unique, engaging, made you feel all the feelings and I really appreciated that. It was like the Chef meets You’ve Got Mail with a dash of the Fault in Our Stars. While it had some predictable moments, it’s kinda nice and comforting to know that this romcom had the familiar pattern of other romcoms before it. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy a movie set to the music of Robyn? I would definitely recommend and it will probably join my collection of replayable romcoms for future comfort :) See more Pita S @RT01401919 5h New much needed RomCom! The actors were appealing and the cinematography was attractive, but much of the humor fell flat and the story was far too contrived to be believable. The music was good, but the pacing was uneven, with several long, slow stretches that should have been cut. The entire subplot about her culinary training was silly and added little. It may work better for a younger audience, particularly one watching under the influence. A final let-go and relief for Jill is much needed for her to drop the big, heavy stone deep in her heart. I do love how the director or screenwriter wasn't trying to make Jill's life go smoothly, and that is quite realistic — when one thing goes bad, many more follow. It's just that most of us can't see the happy ending yet in our life. I believe most of us are still carrying a heavy stone.
