If the pleasures of The Usual Suspects are the more superficial ones of ingenuity and style, those are abundantly available. As pre 2000 movies often are, the plot can be a little twisty and complicated, but the slow pace of the movie and controlled unravelling of the story makes it thoroughly enjoyable. The ending is somewhat predictable but the director manages to convince the viewer of a different scenario just before the end, which adds a level of complexity to the story.
