Nathan J. @NathanDirector 2h Rating: 7/10 ⭐️ I expected a low-budget church movie, and while the production value is "straight-to-DVD," the script stays surprisingly respectful to the Good Book. The Director’s Eye: Director Anna Zielinski manages the limited budget well, though sets feel stage-like. As a Methodist, I appreciated they didn't "Hollywood-ize" the theology. Lance Henriksen (Cyrus) brings real gravitas and Robert Miano (Old Daniel) gives a reflective structure. The core theme of standing firm in faith, even when surrounded by a culture that doesn't share your values, is a powerful lesson. The score swells in all the right places. The Cuts: A massive, hilarious error: The "golden statue" is clearly Saint Nicholas in bishop's robes! That lazy prop mistake took me out of it. Also, the closing disclaimer claiming these biblical events are "fictitious" rubbed me the wrong way—this is the Word of God! Verdict: Not a masterpiece, but a faithful retelling safe for the family. Good for a Sunday watch. Favorite Line: "My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions."
