The story completely disrespects the original comic book, rushes the iconic battle with Doomsday, and focuses on a ridiculous plot involving Lex Luthor clones. There is hardly any emotion surrounding the mourning of the hero's death, and the film's pacing is terrible. See more Daniel P @doordan Feb 25 This is a great movie. Superman is my favorite superhero and DC character. Doomsday here is portrayed with his best version. The fight is epic. I liked this fight and this Doomsday better than the remake made later on, whose sequel is The reign of Supermen, which I didn't like as much. Also, the relationship between Luthor and his own Superman, whom he let out all his frustrated feeling is fascinating.
