This tale of brothers who can’t stay out of trouble trots out all the clichés of America in its economic malaise: the lack of blue-collar work, and every genre cliché of Westerns, brothers protecting brothers and the need to take the law into your hands. Go to Full Review

Loki A @RT09177372 3d One of the slowest most pointless movies to ever exist. It really deserves to be a "cancel the director" type of movie See more Angela V. @RT92025637 May 31 Incredible performance the actors were amazing I totally recommend, wonderful time watching it! See more Bobby B @Bobby301 May 14 Also surprised to see such a low score on this. The writing and edit was very good. Christian and Forest gave great performances and man was Woody menacing! See more Blake- N @PBSAniDom Apr 30 Out of the Furnace (2013) is one of those films that leaves a lasting impression because of how heavy and unsettling it feels from start to finish. It’s not "disturbing" in a flashy or horror sense, but in a grounded, realistic way that makes it hit harder than expected. The atmosphere is bleak, the tone is serious throughout, and the performances really sell the emotional weight of the story. What makes it stand out is how unforgiving it feels. The film doesn’t offer easy comfort or clean resolutions, and that sense of consequence and loss hangs over every decision the characters make. It’s a slow burn, but it builds tension in a very natural, almost uncomfortable way. Overall, it’s a well-acted and intense drama that sticks with you long after it ends. Not an easy watch, but a powerful one. 7/10 See more Joanne H @RT85208661 Apr 19 I have seen this film a few times and I don’t understand why it has such a low rating. The acting was amazing and I enjoyed the movie plot See more Dusty M. @DustyDissenter Mar 5 Surprised it only has a rating slightly above 50%. Definitely not a fast moving film, but it does have a strong cast and some serious emotional depth. I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you haven’t already See more Read all reviews
