Jane (Ashley Olsen) and Roxy Ryan (Mary-Kate Olsen) are teenage Long Island twins who find themselves on numerous misadventures when they trek into Manhattan on a school day. While the studious Jane intends to give an important speech in hopes of winning a scholarship, the more relaxed and carefree Roxy wants to track down her favorite New York City rock group. Trailing behind them, however, is Max Lomax (Eugene Levy), their school's obsessive truant officer.

Critics Consensus

Feels more like a calculated product designed to expand the Olsens' brand than an actual movie. Also, it contains ethnic stereotyping and sexual innuendo.

Admittedly, in all this stupidity there are a couple of laugh out loud moments, but these do not make up for the fact that mediocrity is a poor replacement for talent and comic timing.

It's fun seeing a film with the Olsen twins all grown up. This movie has car chases, action, romance, stage diving, & old school montages. It's interesting seeing Eugene Levy playing an antagonist for a change. Very cool. Some of the parts with the dog Ronaldo are not doggone funny. However hearing Andy Richter's character Benny Bang trying to speak with the Chinese accent is. Dr Drew Pinsky is as good an actor as he is a doctor. If you like silly slapstick comedies you'll definitely like this movie.

"New York Minute" I was watched younger in past time they both actress aren't that famous held by pop punk Canadian band known as : Simple Plan. It was terrible story based on "American girls power" lead into family relationship with independent. I suggested not to watch this film there is nothing special stories in there.
