Just patting himself on the back the whole way through, and the long winded story in the nightclub just for the punchline to be greeted with an expensive bill? Really? I wish someone had warned me before I sacrificed my weekend to this. Gilligan says he wants to put Black British comedy on the map, but this special plays like a self-congratulatory victory lap with almost no real punchlines.
