Yes, I guess I can say I really enjoyed the movie, I really like chick flicks a lot. I'm a sucker for this type of movies, Woman meets men, she or he has a partner, ends up falling for the person he or she that has barely met, sure why not, I really like the chemistry between Amy and this guy that I don't remember his name, Adam Scott is such a dick on this movie, Leap Year is a good movie, with a great ending that I really enjoyed, the comedy and the drama and like I mention above the chemistry between our main 2 leads is what makes this movie really likeable. I give " Leap Year " a B-. See more Par H @Parhwy Apr 10 Leap Year (2010) is a 100-minute-long USA romcom I saw on Prime in April 2026. As the credits roll, we get a decent introduction to the two main American characters (Anna and Jeremy). The story is simple and the plot is a slew of accidents, coincidences, oddities and conveniences. Mostly set in Ireland, this is nonetheless an Eire seen through Hollywood-coloured glasses. Anna comes across as obnoxious, rude, ungrateful, and ultimately unlikeable (I suspect the heavy-handedness of this impact was accidental or it could be that I’m watching this in 2026 and the USA and their stereotypical loudness seems utterly humourless, even cruel). Along the way, local Irish stoic, Declan, aides her in her off-with-the-fairies fancy. Rewatch? No. Recommend? Maybe. 5/10. See more Alex C @RT36129908 Mar 25 It’s easy to have a crush on Amy Adams, and it’s easy to put yourself in Matthew Goode’s shoes— who wouldn’t have a crush from afar? The reality is that Amy’s character is pretty scuzzy, possible sociopathic, all the while her hair is always perfect after countless bad weather days, and constant mishaps. I think maybe letting her hair down would have been the actual point of the film, yet they kept it Snow White primped. Honestly, meeting the hot girl at the bar isn’t always the best result. Sometimes, it’s better to romanticize this potential cool person: maybe funny, smart, humble, empathetic, charming, nice. Meeting real people— you never really get that, and this movie gives an accurate example of why looks are not the measure of true attraction. Find the person that looks at you the way you look at them. Find the person you want to be around all the time. The person that supports you when you’re not paying attention.
