It does become mildly interesting and somewhat informative as it progresses and makes you start thinking “do people actually do this? Is this how trends start?” It does deserve some credit for making people aware that all their ‘friends’ may not be what they seem, and who’s really at the source of many of their problems and heartache... the people who are in the same vein as advertisers. While the premise is great, the execution by both the production team and the cast was disappointing. It verges on being so bad it's good, but doesn't have any self-awareness of its hammed up presentation to reach that point. Having seen this once, I have no desire to watch it again. See more Tiffany G @RT14083875 11/12/2022 There is a good message in this movie and it has a cute ending, but ultimately I think that this movie had the potential to be so much better than it turned out. For starters, they didn't do much building when it came to the characters and I kept feeling like I was missing a big chunk of information about how these people ended up in the situation they were in. We really needed a back story to flesh this "family" out. Without it I couldn't really connect with any of them and therefore didn't really care what happened to them in the end. I think that this is a movie that had potential to be something really great and different, but ended up being hollow and empty. Which is ironic since this is a film trying to warn us all about the evils of consumerism. Was this the point? I don't think so, but if it was done deliberately I'd say that's kinda genius. I did keep watching to the end to see how it all ended so it has that going for it I guess. See more 07/15/2022 Not a good movie at all, it had a good plot that didn't develop enough so the ending just didn't cut it. Amber played herself, sl*ty daughter, and takes her clothes off which is nice, and the brother was actually pretty good, as well as David, but Demi was just not the right person for that role and didn't come off as authentic.
