Smart, original, and above all terrifying, It Follows is the rare modern horror film that works on multiple levels -- and leaves a lingering sting.

It Follows represents a compelling evolution in how studios and audiences can (and should) conceive of its monsters. Go to Full Review

No question that the storytelling here is impressive; the story itself, however, is a bit thin. Go to Full Review

It Follows is a small gem of the genre that...invokes the deepest terror, without special effects or big budgets, with a great idea and a maximum capitalization of cinematic resources to instill fear scene by scene. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

It Follows feels like a new thing in horror. It feels like a movement toward the conceptual idea of what drives horror. Strip down the overburdened tropes and monsters that make up what horror was for decades, and leave just the essentials. Go to Full Review

It's not a bad film at all, and I appreciate that it feels so original and unconventional. But at the same time, I think it has too many unfulfilling moments to fully recommend it. [Full review in Spanish]. Go to Full Review

See more Danielle S @RT00404070 6d THIS MOVIE IS THE WORST THING THE HUMAN RACE HAS EVER ABLE TO DO. THE ONLY IMPORTANT THING IN THIS FILM IS THE WHITE CLOTHES, THE INCEST AND THE WOMAN PISSING HERSELF. BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE LOOKS LIKE TOXICIN GETTING INTO YOUR BRAIN, LIKE SEEING BRAINROT AT 3 AM. PLEASE RUN FROM THIS MOVIE. I want to sue whoever did this shit. See more Dari F @D.Fabian Apr 24 It's an original concept that sticks with you after the credits roll. See more Michael M @Scatman Mar 28 Based on the many enthusiastic critics, I was eager to see this one – and what a huge disappointment it was. Yes, there is a certain „paranoid atmosphere" which kept my attention for a while. But then, the whole plot does not make any sense, and it gets more and more ridiculous. Overrated movie in my opinion. See more Darcy J @Darcidious Mar 22 unique, well executed and nice looking for a low budget. scares do feel repetitive at some parts but overall its great. a bit porny tho See more Marco L @RT58051932 Mar 21 The premise of It Follows is extremely delicate: a concept like this can either turn into a masterpiece or slide into mediocrity. Unfortunately, in this case, it’s the latter. It is a real shame because, with a more solid structure, the potential was immense. Instead, due to rushed execution (especially in the second half) and glaring plot holes, the film ends up being just another teen drama with a horror twist. I truly wonder how it received such high scores; it feels like a product suited only for a younger audience looking for cheap Halloween thrills. Special mention goes to the ending: it attempts to be an artistic cliffhanger, but instead feels abrupt and incoherent, as if the director simply ran out of runtime before finishing the story.
