Critics Consensus

The Wrecking Crew is as brawny and disarmingly charming as its two leading men, smashing through a thin story with colorful pyrotechnics and a satisfying amount of attitude.

Momoa and Bautista, who respectively play a loose-cannon cop and disciplinarian special forces operative, have fun with the action sequences and put some genuine effort into the fractured sibling dynamic. Go to Full Review

Soto blends these bits of comedy, drama, action, suspense, and style into a movie that's a real banger. Here's hoping we get a sequel. Go to Full Review

This lean, mean, R-rated action machine is better than you'd think since Momoa and Bautista take the time, between fights and jokes, to examine the bruised places in the hearts of these half brothers. You feel for them, and that makes all the difference. Go to Full Review

Not trashy enough to be a guilty pleasure and generic even by the standards of algorithmic content made for streaming, The Wrecking Crew will be forgotten minutes after viewing. Go to Full Review

The main things wrecked in the Amazon Prime action comedy "The Wrecking Crew" are cars, motorcycles, helicopters, property…and logic. Go to Full Review

Could the 57-year-old Bautista and the 46-year old Momoa really outfight the Yakuza? Bautista is a 300 lb. WWE World Champion, and 6'5' Momoa will weigh 300 if he keeps drinking beer. That’s enough to suspend disbelief for this silliness. Go to Full Review

A E @RiffWrath 46m Pretty much every single 80’s action movie updated for 2026. Which Indigenous group shall we use? Hmmm. Hawaiian?? Well there had to be one crooked Indian..a family member... selling out for a casino on traditional lands. One unhinged Indian whose girl just walked out on him but comes back to play an important role. . And one straight shooting Indian who believes no one whose wife gets taken hostage by a guy with a British accent who knows martial arts. Native people in America have seen this movie played out time and time again. It may be exciting for non-natives but its an eye roller for us. Pretty dure ive even seen this movie played out with Austraian Natives and greedy white folks. See more edgar g @Smurkz 5h Is it a bad movie? No it's good? NO This movie isn't the best, but isnt the worst, i dont like some characters since i feel like the actors or director couldve made something bigger I recommend not watching. Unless you like movies That is almost the exact same as John Wick, just different Characters and Different in its own way... See more azeem h @Azeen 6h Trying to be an 80s action comedy, it's mildly amusing. With Bautista and Momoa playing well off of each other. To be honest it could have been so much better, the plotting was predictable the action was meh - the highlight being a helicopter car chase. Still something to watch with your brain on neutral. See more Babawonga L @Babawonga 13h As much as I like Bautista and Momoa, and they did do the sibling thing pretty well, the movie is too damn stupid. The scene on the freeway is beyond ridiculous as are most of the action scenes (automatic weapon spraying bullets from six feet away and no one is hit). Watch if you want some mindless action and can ignore the insipidness. See more M B @Loyalist 13h F bombs for the sake of F bombs and extremely predictable plot. Too bad. See more Barbara F @BabsF. 13h I found the storyline very predictable but my low rating is largely due to the poor flow and cinematography of the fight scenes. There are so many pauses between movement that fight scenes feel stilted and poorly timed. Plus in many scenes the camera angle is wrong so you can clearly see a hit didn't come close to connecting. It wasn't for me. See more Read all reviews
