The movie doesn’t take itself too seriously, the action is solid without excessive cgi; the banter was pretty funny; and this actually had a decent plot: I’d love to see these two and the other side kick they picked up in a sequel. Don’t expect a Tim cruise movie but for a fun flick when bored and you like action movies it’s a solid option. See more Alexander F @MissaLyssa 4d A solid movie. See more Sheree B @SBrea May 2 Stick with it, the comedy comes out the further along it goes, and the plot comes together nicely by the end. Love that there's only strong, proud brown skinned actors leading this film, barely a white face to be seen, the cast is magnificent and the film industry seems to be finally representing! The cast is made up of Japanese, Kiwi, Hawaiian, Pawnee, Philipino... it's just awesome! There's a really powerful scene towards the end between Bautista's character and his children, superbly acted by all three. Mamoa's character is incredibly annoying but redeems himself somewhat. Coming off of watching Stathom's Shelter last night, only made this movie so much better to Shelter's terribleness. See more Tony G @TonyGman May 1 This was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
