Critics Consensus

The Incredible Hulk may not be quite the smashing success that fans of Marvel's raging behemoth might hope for, but it offers more than enough big green action to make up for its occasionally puny narrative.

The climax is a bit of a yawn, but most of what precedes it is vigorous and sharp. Go to Full Review

Norton makes for a wiry, curious Bruce Banner. But you can tell from the film's tedium-inducing smackdowns that a different philosophy prevailed: the artificial Zen of video-game playing. Go to Full Review

That rings true of the entire movie. Jagged edges, cut corners, missed opportunities, yet somehow still charming and, in the end, workable. Go to Full Review

The film takes the necessary steps to balance action and drama, making each of Hulk’s battles significant for Banner and his continuing growth. Go to Full Review

The "forgotten" MCU feature is now available on Disney+, and it remains an interesting if flawed vehicle for Edward Norton that might have taken the Avengers saga in a very different direction. Go to Full Review

Carter H. @quality_finds 1d The Incredible Hulk is not a high quality movie, and the ending conflict was not that great But I would consider this movie to be entertaining I would’t necessarily recommend this movie, but it isn’t a horrible movie, just could have been better Iron Man on the other hand was extremely entertaining, creative, and high quality This movie just didn’t match those standards I have to say, having Hulk as the lead character really shows how interesting Hulk is Hulk was displayed as a unstoppable creature that comes from a serum I think that concept is very cool, and I would consider this movie a 2.5 maybe 3 star because of how well Hulk was displayed to the audience So because of the character relationship to the audience I’m going to favor 3 stars Connecting a superhero to the audience is hard, but this movie did a good job on that, but other then that, the movie isn’t terrible See more Eltrix U @Eltrix_Urem 1d La película inicia rápido, la acción está buena y es interesante ver cómo Banner lucha por controlarse. Solo que en el tercer acto no hay una explicación del por qué Hulk vuelve a salir si es que ya se había inyectado el antídoto, creo que habría que poner más atención en eso. Todo lo demás bien. There was no character development whatsoever. And, to my surprise, it's not that bad. There are problems, for sure, but it's an enjoyable experience. My problems, however, lie in a few places. I feel like the beginning is very confusing, especially when it's needed to explain Bruce's origin story (even though they verbally describe it later). Another thing is the tone. It's definitely still in the phase where Marvel hadn't really found their homogeneous tone yet, as this movie is feels very different from other MCU films, like Iron Man especially. And, the relationship between Bruce and Betty is a bit underdeveloped as I said. So, with a these problems and the general feel of it, it's not the best. See more Read all reviews
