Tom H @MisterCreosote 1d It has all the traditional elements, some with unusual twists. It delivers as an action flic. The pace is good with a slight slowdown midsection. The ending is solid and memorable. I would watch this again if I was looking for something to watch and came across it a couple/few years from now. The Direction is decent but not top quality. This is a a good martial arts action and revenge thriller. On its own it was pretty good. Decent Story. The story follows a debt collector tasked with recovering money by whatever means necessary, leading to plenty of action, violence, and criminal intrigue. If you’ve seen similar films before, much of the plot will feel familiar, as it follows a formula that’s been revisited countless times. While the action sequences are entertaining enough, the pacing becomes one of the film’s biggest issues. At over two hours, the story feels stretched far beyond what it needed to be, causing several scenes to drag and lose momentum. Despite that, the narrative remains easy to follow and does a respectable job keeping the central story intact. Overall, The Debt Collector is a decent watch with enough action to satisfy genre fans, but it never does anything particularly memorable.
