What came from that mission was something surprisingly entertaining: a colorful, travel-inspired adventure that showcased the beauty, rhythm, and spirit of South American culture through the eyes of Disney animation. From the moment it begins, Saludos Amigos feels like a geography lesson come to life, but in the most charming way possible. You’re taken on a whirlwind tour of landscapes and traditions — from the Andes Mountains to the bustling streets of Rio — all through the lens of Walt Disney’s creative team, who blend documentary-style footage with their trademark animation. Donald Duck, Goofy, and new character José Carioca each bring humor and energy to their segments, keeping things lighthearted while still celebrating the local culture. Ainda assim, há segmentos bastante interessantes, especialmente os do Pateta na Argentina e o do avião Pedro, que se destacam pelo humor e pela criatividade. O longa também merece elogios pela forma como o Brasil e a Argentina são representados, com respeito e carinho, apresentando elementos culturais de maneira simpática e envolvente. No entanto, mesmo com boas intenções e algumas ideias curiosas, o resultado final é apenas uma obra interessante, mas longe de ser marcante. Nota 5/10.
