Alain E @AlainE Apr 29 This movie has very good cinematography, capable actors and about ten production companies. Apparently noone thought that an accomplished script was necessary. The protagonist is a university professor of literature, who looks like an action hero and ends up behaving like one. Out of his good heart and obviously lots critical thinking he decides to help, without any compensation, a Russian mafioso who is trying to jump ship. Then his wife, a successful lawyer joins the adventure. You can imagine the rest. Despite being stylishly shot, however, the premise is paper-thin, and no amount of forced intrigue or over-acting can save this film from itself. I think Damian Lewis is one of the more underrated actors. He does a great job and I would have loved to see more from his character. This isn't a bad movie. It just isn't as exciting as I'd hoped.
