Someone will make a film that will give Madhuri, ripe for a role in which she can play to her strengths, her due. Sadly, Maa Behen is not that film. Go to Full Review

Sharang L @Scribe187 1d Under the farcical garb, this is one angry film. Kudos to Triveni for taking societal misogyny head-on though thinly-veiled humour. Dimri and the other girl are great, Madhuri not so much. See more Garima G @RT06886212 2d This film does a great job of showing how women are often misunderstood and boxed into stories that men create about them. It highlights the huge gap between how men think they understand women and what women actually experience, showing how these misconceptions shape the way society views and judges them. By moving away from the typical male gaze, the film gives women more depth, agency, and space to tell their own stories By shifting the perspective away from the male gaze, the story portrays and celebrates women wittiness and bravery . love it sm!! a must watch See more J J @RT54021238 2d Maa Behen What sounds like a cuss word turns out to be one of the sharpest satires on womanhood. Beneath the laughs lies a biting commentary on how society sees women. See more SK A @RT68909769 2d What I liked : amazing acting by all, especially tripti dimri, funny and intelligent dialogues for the most part and a sincere effort by all actors to do the best Movie tries its best to give a moral message What I didn’t like: a little confused narrative, Mathura Dixit’s characterization ( I wasn’t sure whether I should like or dislike her characterization). Verdict: Watchable See more Harish N @harish_napa 2d Maa Behen: A Lost Neighborhood Venture The 2026 Netflix dark comedy is an average, middle of the road endeavor that struggles under a crowded screenplay. It focuses on a dysfunctional mother and daughter duo covering up a bizarre crime, proving that a refreshing premise can easily get heavily bogged down by an unpolished second half. Madhuri Dixit is exceptionally good as Rekha, delivering a charismatic performance that anchors the film through its most routine stretches. Triptii Dimri and Dharna Durgaa provide brilliant, high quality backing, bringing fresh energy and vulnerability to the generational conflict. However, the pacing drags heavily after the interval, settling into an uneven, overly melodramatic storyline that tests your patience. While the casting is spectacular, the bloated narrative prevents it from building real momentum. It remains a fair one time watch that works solely on the strength of its leading ladies. See more Mr. Anubhav S @RT87750975 2d I have watched the most beautiful film of not only MadhuriDixit but also the most brilliant film in recent years! Yes I am talking about Maa Behen on Netflix. A deep rooted message, it invisibly carries in a relatable societal landscape which is often overlooked by everyone. It deals with these things. Created on the hybrid theme of dark & satirical comedy, it wildly entertains you through the nuances of relatable characters in a society of middle class income residents while successfully keeping the viewers engaged in the mystery of a dead-body in the house. It initially sets out an antisocial narrative of 3 bold, carefree women depicting the rumours about them disguised as their past only to know the hardships they went through! Rekha Jaya & Sushma doesn’t want the medal of being ideal but the unconditional deserving freedom. This is bcoz of dedicated direction of Suresh Triveni & brilliant writing of Pooja Tolani. Madhuri Dixit, Dharna, Tripti have just outdone themselves. See more Read all reviews
