See more Nick O @nottergode Apr 24 Ok it might not be as good as the original, but like Temple of Doom it certainly is neck and neck. Sure the first act is all build up and not very exciting. But that actually makes the film better. Because after about the hour mark, once the action starts it never lets up! The entire second act is pretty much non stop action with T. Rex’s, compys, and Raptors running amok. We don’t need the slow build up anymore. Like Aliens, we already know what these creatures are capable of. So here their just let lose in numbers to cause as much chaos as possible. And it’s no less thrilling! Still the best Jurassic sequel ever made. 3 is at least quick and fun too. 4 has a great final. But other that that? 👎 See more Noah L @PilgorOfSanAngora Apr 22 Now a lot of people don't really like this movie as a sequel to Jurassic Park and there are some fair points why, but honestly I think this is a really decent movie. Steven Spielberg is back directing this movie and still makes some good, memorable, and intense scenes (FX The T-Rex trailer scene or the Velociraptor attack in the long grass), but then I also like the return of Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcom and some of the other side characters can be very likeable (Like Roland Tempo) and the movie also has some interesting themes like: How would they live after the they took over the island. But that doesn't mean this movies perfect. The overall stories kind of basic and doesn't really have the same charm that the first one had, and despite some of the characters being alright, others kind of feel annoying or undeveloped (like Sarah Harding or Kelly Malcom), and there's also some plot holes (like how did the people die on the ship?).
