[Carlson's] lack of overt editorializing is admirable, but it still leaves Go Tigers! off-balance and off-putting, as his "heroes" are draped with adulation, even as they use unpleasant and irresponsible means to achieve questionable ends.

I have been on a Friday Night Lights kick lately, and as with FNL, I enjoyed this tremendously except for when they were actually playing football. It's good to know (for the show, not the world) that FNL is a pretty realistic show about high school football. Apparently, the world of high school football is even more moronic in real life, and it doesn't evolve after hight school, either. Trust me- I live in Ohio. One more thing- how about all that praying? There is a lot of praying in football. It is really, really pathetically sad, and I love it. It makes me laugh... really, really hard.

Good football documentary about a town's obsession with the sport. It focuses on the Massillon Tigers and their regular season. It focuses more on the three captains in Moore, Studer and Irwin. In this case sports seems to bring most of the town together. Anybody born here seems to be born and bred on the sport.

Really good look into high school football. Eventhough Massillon is not typical, many school districts are kind of watered down to this kind of stuff.
