Tom Mar 26 my favorite bond movie See more Ed B. @EdLee 5d For your eyes only , nowhere near the best of Bond outings. However, some fun moments. For example pre opening credits , Bond and Blofeld have a cat and mouse duel with each other via a Helicopter. Plot centers around an ATAC transmitter being sought after. Leading to some new interesting array of bad players. But in the end Bond prevails. Another repeating theme in this film which is familiar to plenty of earlier Bond movies. Sharks. It takes a more grounded approach compared to some of the more over-the-top entries, and that actually works in its favor. The tone is a bit more serious, but still has enough classic Bond charm to keep things familiar. The pacing is steady, and while it doesn’t always hit big highs, it avoids major lows too. The action sequences are solid and practical, which gives the film a more tense and grounded feel. It’s not trying to overwhelm the viewer, just deliver a straightforward spy story. Overall, it lands in a comfortable middle ground. Nothing feels particularly broken or disappointing, but it also doesn’t fully stand out among the stronger entries in the series.
