It's ridiculous that the rating is so low on here! Even the bit characters are great...the music...and Benicio is at his absolute best (well, maybe Traffic is equal)! It's kind of perfect. See more Michael S @mstrocko 03/28/2023 One of those quirky hit-or-miss late '90s comedies (girl fakes her own kidnapping, winds up mistakenly abducted when her car is stolen) that has two things going for it: Benicio del Toro's squirrely car thief and Christopher Walken's menacing "Uncle Ray." I wished the film had just focused on the two of them instead. The rest of the film is forgettable. See more 11/17/2021 i rented the movie when i was 12. i did so because i was a fan Alicia Silverstone. Clueless was still a hit with my age demographic at the time. The movie was mildly entertaining, but the story was kinda ridiculous. i remember thinking Benicio was really sexy and funny. i haven't seen it since then. i plan to give it another go.. . for old time's sake, you know? 1997 was a very fun year for me. EDIT: Okay. i just watched it again after 24 years, and i have to give it an additional half star. The story is ridiculous, but it's cute.
