In a delightfully horrifying way. Cast is solid, story is solid even with its 90s cheese but that just adds to the vibe. Still holds up in 2025, a must watch for the horror genre. Blending science fiction & horror in a unique way really pulls me in with all the scary mystery of deep space. It really just goes for it with loads of campy style that is of its time & can be an awesome time if you embrace the ridiculous dialogue. The set design & strobing lights are excellent as they build an uneasy & strange atmosphere that is clearly the strongest aspect of this film. Hats off for how bold the screenplay is, especially to be backed by a major studio, even if it ends up vastly underutilizing its amazing potential.
