Even if you didn’t know who Ralphie was prior to watching, you’ll be left feeling like you knew him. Such a genuine presentation of the impacts of addiction and the unfortunate realities that come with show business. Uncomfortable at times but so necessary for its message and a story that was absolutely worth telling. You’ll laugh, cry, and will continue contemplating this story after watching. One of the most genuine displays of the human experience I’ve ever seen with no detail left behind. I could not fault it if I tried. He didn't shy away from subjects others wouldn't dare joke about. There was something vulnerable about him as well. He was loved by other comedians and formed friendships that weren't mentioned in the film. It was quite long and frankly not funny. The film spends a lot of time showing us his wife and his children. There was no joy and few laughs.I saw this film in a very small theatre and more than half the seats were empty. What a sad turnout for a man that deserved better. See more Read all reviews
