Now, I'm no professional movie-rater, but this movie is great. Yes at points the plot feels jumbled up, but it ends up connecting. I do like how the CGI in this movie looks amazing and really reminds me of the Transformers movies from the 2000's. The plot of the story is that 200 years after some kind of cataclysm occurs, perhaps a nuclear armageddon, or a global disease that wiped most of humanity off the face of the earth, which starts by revolving around a box created by the builders that opens 200 years after they gave it to the first mayor of the underground city of ember. after approximately 241 years after the city was established, supplies dwindle, and the Generator starts to decay, with each outage worse than the next, prompting the three protagonists (Lina, Doon, and Poppy) to flee to the surface. See more Adam S @RT22300974 Nov 15 This movie is really related to the book and Lina and Doon look like students in college even tough they are 12 years old and Doon looks 16 and he is supposed to have thick eyebrows like in the book, Also Mayor Cole should be much fatter. Cool movie but not really my favorite. See more Fletcher K @RT17653316 Oct 12 I could never figure out if this was a movie made for preasolescents or teens but it was completely lacking in any content which would keep an adult's attention, Had I not been in several abandoned Titan 1 missile bases this film would have had zero appeal.
