I was all ready to watch a solid shark movie and was, frankly, only nervous that the special effects would be terrible. Apparently, I should have been much more concerned with whether the plot was at least decent. It isn’t.

Not sure how Alice Eve has fallen to making dreck like this. Dull with annoying characters and horrible dialogue interspersed with AI created footage of a shark biting human limbs off, not even Alice Eve's phenomenal cleavage can keep this interesting. As Adam West's Batman would tell Robin, avoid this one, old chum.

Sure it’s clunky at times and drags a bit (editors could’ve trimmed like 8 minutes off and turned down the melodrama and turned up the cheeky satirical aspects). Overall this is a fun ride (it’s a shark movie for the love of god), with nice and gruesome kills and creative gore. Majestic Malta as the backdrop makes it all the more visually sumptuous and enjoyable. Not going to win any Oscars, but a fun little low budget film.
