Hotshot television anchorman Ron Burgundy welcomes upstart reporter Veronica Corningstone into the male-dominated world of 1970s broadcast news -- that is, until the talented female journalist begins to outshine Burgundy on air. Soon he grows jealous, begins a bitter feud with Veronica and eventually makes a vulgar slip on live TV that ruins his career. However, when an outrageous story breaks at the San Diego Zoo, Ron may get a chance to redeem himself.

The men are crude, the weatherman (Steve Carell) has the intellectual depth of a dust bunny, and the news teams swagger around town like overdressed street gangs who rumble when they collide.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is a wildly entertaining comedy that leans fully into absurd humor and satire. It’s a film that doesn’t take itself seriously, and that’s exactly what makes it work. Will Ferrell leads the cast with a memorable performance as Ron Burgundy, delivering countless awkward, overconfident, and hilarious moments. His portrayal anchors the film’s chaotic energy. The supporting cast adds even more comedy, with strong chemistry and constant banter that keeps the momentum going. The film is packed with quotable lines and over-the-top situations. While the humor may not land for everyone and the story is intentionally loose, it remains consistently fun and rewatchable. A solid 7/10 comedy that delivers laughs throughout.
