Somehow All My Life seems oddly lacking in stakes, which is so weird considering the story (the main symptoms of onscreen Chau's deadly but photogenic disease seem to be a little tiredness and sweatiness).

Despite its best efforts, there are still those gooey moments that seem custom made for the movies rather than plucked from real life. But every time the film gets too close to schmaltzy Meyers is able to rein it back in.

Saccharine and by-the-numbers, this is the Starbucks of romantic tearjerkers - a weepie that's so militantly affable, it lacks any real charm or emotional depth, and will fail to light a fire in your heart.

The film's story is very fast-paced, the director should have gone into more depth to have enough time to show his heart a little, but unfortunately it didn't work out.

What an absolutely beautiful movie - and the premise being based on a real life story made it even more heartwarming. It also had great moments of levity that laced together to really pull at the heartstrings when Sol's diagnosis comes out. I found the movie both wholesome and inspirational even though it has some truly somber aspects. I highly recommend this movie to people looking for a beautiful love story that is set against incredibly tragic odds and yet seeks to prove that all that really matters in this life are the people who love you, and the memories you create together.

Baseado em fatos reais, por aí já sabemos que "senta que lá vem história e muitas lágrimas" e aqui é bem isso, as lágrimas eu guardei para o final, mas o aperto no peito a todo momento, ficamos a pensar nas pessoas que amamos, e isso dói... Um filme simples e lindinho, uma linda homenagem, um amor-perfeito, romance interrompido pelo trágico...
