Critics Consensus

While it may be light on its feet and charming to a fault, A Week Away won't linger in audience's minds for much long after.

It's hammy, it's predictable, it's a little silly, but what YA musical isn't? Go to Full Review

This is a film as tidy, transparent and kid-friendly as a square of Jell-O salad, and so squishily eager-to-please that it doesn't engage with its religious themes so much as tuck them into song lyrics to hover in the narrative like grapes. Go to Full Review

Ian R @RT71828665 17h Before watching the critically acclaimed film A Week Away, I was both atheist and WAYYYY TOO GAY. This movie changed me in a fundamental way and allowed me to see the light of the big JC (Jesus Christ). I truly transcended the limits of filmgoing experience by the light of this movie. I will never see something better. This was beautiful. When Trump got shot I was devastated, but this movie was here to comfort me. Thank you, A Week Away, I might even love you more than I love God.
